Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash on Maroondah Highway, Healesville
A man in his 50's was killed on Sunday afternoon when his motorbike collided with a trailer being towed by a car in Healesville.
The accident occurred at about 3.40pm Sunday at the intersection of the Maroondah Highway and the Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road, Healesville. The bike rider died at the scene.
The Maroondah Highway was blocked for a number of hours on Sunday afternoon as police conducted an investigation into the crash. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The death of the motorbike rider takes the 2010 Victorian Road Toll to 64 - seven more than at the same time in 2009.
