23 Year Old Wyndham Vale Man Charged with Attempted Murder after Man Stabbed in Hoppers Crossing

A 23 year old man from Wyndham Vale was charged with the attempted murder of a 39 year old Hoppers Crossing man on Sunday night. The stabbing of the 39 year old took place in Empire Drive, Hoppers Crossing.

Victoria Police Detectives from Werribee have been investigating the details of the stabbing. They were told surrounding a stabbing in Empire Drive, Hoppers Crossing.

Police have been told that around 9.30pm on Sunday night, the two men who were understood to know each other, had an argument at the Empire Drive address which spilled out into the street. As a result of the fight, the 39 year old man sustained several stab wounds. He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and was reported to be in a serious condition.

The 23 year old Wyndham Vale man was arrested at the scene and later charged with attempted murder. He appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon and was remanded into custody.
