Man Dies After Drowning Incident Near Forster North Coast NSW
A 61 year old man from Newtown has drowned in yet another fatal incident on NSW beaches on Monday night.
It is believed that the man incident occurred at about 6.45pm on Monday night after the man entered rough surf at Bluey's Beach south of Forster. The man was swimming with a friend. It is understood that the surf was about 1 metre in height.
Shorty after being seen body surfing, the 61 year old was sighted floating in the water. Two life guard who were off duty began CPR on the man which continued for approximately 25 minutes until paramedics arrived at the beach.
Despite the best efforts of the life guards and ambulance crew the man could not be revived.
Police are preparing a report for the information of the Coroner.
